We are proud to announce a landmark achievement for the CAP Aviation Training Academy: accreditation by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) to deliver the Occupational Certificate for Airline Ground Crew. This makes CAP Academy one of the first ground handling companies in South Africa to hold this accreditation as a registered Skills Development Provider.

The journey began in 2024 and reached fruition in July 2025 after a sustained, dedicated effort by our training and development team. With this accreditation in place, the Academy can now run full learnerships and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) programmes — equipping our people not only with practical skills, but with a nationally recognised qualification to anchor their aviation careers.

Our first RPL programme rolled out in December 2025, marking the start of a new chapter for the Academy. Operating from accredited facilities in Johannesburg, Cape Town and along the coast, CAP Academy delivers between 2,000 and 2,500 course interventions every month across the airports we serve.

This milestone reflects our broader commitment to developing aviation talent in South Africa and across the continent — welcoming the world to South Africa, and taking South Africa to the world.
